| General Information: | Horta lies on the southeast coast of Faial Island.Tidal stream are strong in the Faial Channel; the flood sets northwards and the ebb sets strongly into the Horta Bay. The marina is located inside Horta harbour, which is protected by a lit mole. The main references are Boa Viagem and the breakwater lights. |
| Entrance: | To enter the harbour take the leading line Boa Viagem light Carmo church, bearing 285º, until the front and rear lights of the harbour are in line; once inside the harbour the marina mole will be seen straight ahead. Give some clearance to the end of the main breakwater in case Pico ferry and fishing boats are leaving the harbour. |
